Church of the Cross

Introduction

Church of the Cross United Methodist is a vital community of faith dedicated to sharing the good news of Jesus Christ and serving all God's children. We are warm and caring people who genuinely welcome visitors. We also reach out deeply into our community through the World of Love Pre-school and various mission opportunities. We trust you will find our worship alive with the Spirit of Jesus.

We're located at 3121 Wilmington Pike in Kettering, Ohio (suburb south of Dayton). Every Sunday we have a contemporary worship from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and a more traditional worship service starting at 11:00 a.m. Our average worship attendance is around 200. Church School classes are available at both 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Everyone is welcome at Church of the Cross.

Contemporary Worship Artistic Coordinator and Youth Choir Director

Church of the Cross is looking for a person to fill the part-time role of Contemporary Worship Artistic Coordinator. Do you have gifts of organization and music? Do you enjoy recruiting and empowering adults and youth in ministry? Could you nurture, continue to develop, direct, and rehearse a praise team of musicians and singers? Could you develop, mentor, and lead a youth choir? Can you read and interpret choral and instrumental contemporary Christian music? If so, you may have the gifts and graces needed for this ministry.

The paid staff person is needed to work closely with the Senior Minister and volunteers to build a worship experience that is life giving and transformational.
