Youth Fellowship News for June, 2007

6/6 – Last Mission Trip Training Session – For all Adults and Youth attending a mission trip this summer. 6-8 pm, Dinner Provided. Come prepared with your homework packet compete and a spirit of learning – we will be covering tool safety. In other words, we will be using tools.

6/13 – VBS Training Session – For all youth and adults helping with VBS. Come to learn and share your experience from past years of volunteering. 6-8 pm, Dinner Provided.

6/17 – Commissioning Service for mission trip participants. This will occurring during the Sunday worship services.

6/18 – Lock-in @ the Lybrook Party Barn. Begin at 8:45 p.m. (or after VBS concludes - which ever comes first). Concludes after lunch on 6/18. First Summer Youth Leadership Event.

6/24-6/29 – Junior High Mission Trip to Camp Otterbein in Logan, Ohio. Keep us in your prayers. ☺

6/23-7/1 – Senior High Mission Trip to Mountain T.O.P. in Almont, Tennessee. Keep us in your prayers. ☺

 

Summer Youth Leadership Events

The youth will coordinate and lead their own events as part of a leadership program at Church of the Cross this summer. Our up-coming Lock-in at the Lybrook Party Barn is one such event. Keep your eyes open for snail mail and e-mails detail this event and other to occur this summer.

Please note that all those going into 6th grade this fall are welcome to join us for any of these summer events. We were so excited about including you this fall that we decided to start early!

Be sure to give our youth a pat on the back was they strengthen their leadership muscles!
