(Wk) 2/29-3/2 - 2nd Confirmation Retreat @ Widewater Retreat Center (M)

3/2 – No YF Tonight. No meal this week. Special Youth Choir practice upon returning from Widewater @ approximately 3:30 p.m. Bells Practice @ normal time.

(Sat) 3/8 – Easter Drama Practice on Saturday 10:00 am – Noon in the Sanctuary. Please eat before arriving.

3/9 – Easter Drama Practice @ YF. Bells & Youth Choir Practicing (M)

(Sat) 3/15 – Easter Drama Practice on Saturday 1:00 – 3:00 pm in the Sanctuary. Please eat before arriving.

3/16 – On the Calendar for this Date:
 ● Youth Council Meeting (after church) in Social Hall – 12:15-1:30 pm (M)
 ● Palm Sunday – Easter Drama Practice @ YF. Bells & Youth Choir Practicing (M)

(Sat.) 3/22 – Dress Rehearsal – Begin @ 10:00 am, Break for Lunch, Conclude by approximately 3 pm. (M)

3/23 – Easter Sunday – Easter Son rise Service and Drama. No Bells, Youth Choir, or YF!

3/29 – Swing Dance, $10 per person, live band, 8:00 p.m.

3/30 – Begin Myth Busters series. Bells, Youth Choir, and YF (M)

Preparing for Easter

As you can see by our calendar, we are definitely in full-practice mode for the Easter Sunrise service. Please note that a few practices have been added since we last met to practice. These were added to insure we have given ourselves plenty of time to do the following:

 ● Gather and/or assemble all props and costumes for the “Jesus Eats Pancakes Too” live drama.
 ● Film scenes for the “New Beginnings” movie presentation.
 ● Edit scenes together for the feature film so it is ready for our Dress Rehearsal on March 22.

We understand that schedules may not allow you to be at all practices. That is why we have provided a variety of time slots in the hope that you can make a majority (3 or more) of our remaining practices. Please make the March 22 Dress Rehearsal top priority on your list of practices to attend. It’s difficult to have a true dress rehearsal when we are missing characters. We will also view un-edited video of our dress rehearsal over lunch so we can identify things that need tweaked.

Thank you all for the hard work thus far on the Easter sunrise service. It is much appreciated!



 

Confirmation Retreat and Updates

Fri., April 11 – Sat., April 12 – 3rd and Final Confirmation Retreat @ Lybrook’s Residence

More details about the 3rd retreat will be arriving via e-mail very soon. Don’t forget to be working on our homework for the April retreat which includes: “Questions about the Church” – 3 short interviews that ask the questions -
    What is the Church?
    What is the purpose of the church?

You may interview friends at school, brothers or sisters, Christians or Non-Christians, grandparents, etc.
