Backward Progressive Dinner
Do what your parents never let you do…eat dessert first! Starting @ 6 pm on
Sunday, Nov. 5, we will eat one course of a meal at each house and work your way
backward to the main course. You may be asking, “Why are we traveling around to
different houses just to eat part of a meal?”
Answer: To simply do something out-of-the-ordinary. Plus, each host has been
asked to share a few stories about themselves when they were teenagers. So…take
good notes. You will be quizzed on what you have learned from your hosts the
following Sunday at YF.
Cross Training
Physical trainers instruct clients to vary their workouts so that one muscle
group will not dominate another. The same concept applies to our spiritual
bodies. We must build Strength in Life’s Good Times so we have
Endurance for Life’s Tough Times. Join us for this “spiritual workout” on
Sunday nights at 6 pm (with dinner) and prepare to “cool down” at 8 pm. Get
ready to sweat for the Lord!
Turkey Bowling
What do you get when you cross a can of Crisco ®, a frozen bird, an old
slip-and-slide, and some bowling pins?
A start to a bad joke, and a great way to kick-off the Thanksgiving Holiday!
Plan to arrive @ 6 pm in the C.O.T.C. parking lot as we enjoy this new (and
weird) event on Tuesday, November 20th. Dinner is to follow once we have worn
out the bird and it can no longer be tossed.
