Bumping Cars and Kick-off Events!
Imagine the fair food and the sounds of crunching metal… what a great way to
kick-start youth fellowship for 2007-2008 at C.O.T.C. Friends are welcome to
join us for this first outing as we enjoy dinner at the
Montgomery County Fair and
follow that with junky cars hitting each other for a prize at the Demolition
Derby.
Please bring money for dinner and admission into the fair and the derby. Bring
$10-$15 for admission at the gate, for admission at the grand stands, and food.
Meet at COTC @ 4:30 pm to load up the vans and head to the fairgrounds. Derby
begins @ 7 pm.
Bring Your Calendars
Our one-night theme for Sunday Night YF on 9/9 is Bring Your Calendars
(school planners work too)! The Youth Council would like your input as we
finalize the planning of our activities this year. In fact … if you would like
your youth leaders to know when your team is playing, band is performing, or any
other activity you can fathom… bring those schedule also! We like to know what
you’re all doing!
We Are Expecting Visitors From Illinois!
A van load of youth from Otterbein U.M.C. in Charleston, Illinois, will be
arriving at C.O.T.C. to join us at YF on Sunday, October 7. We hope to provide
them with fun evening as we worship, learn, and play. And what’s a trip to
Dayton, Ohio, without a visit to Young’s Dairy for ice-cream.
There are several reasons for their visit. The first is to hang out with other
youth groups and see what they do the same or differently. The second is to
travel south to Cincinnati and enjoy all that the
Creation Museum has to offer. Thank
you Lybrooks for allowing us to host this group overnight at your party barn! |
